First all Copic coloring!!

I took the Copic certification class this past weekend in St Louis, MO. I met a lot of wonderful people, artists and bloggers. It was a great time. I have been practicing my coloring and this is my first card using a fully colored Copic image! I have alot of work to do on shading and such, but first I have to buy more markers (just don't tell my husband ;P )

The image is by Kenny K and the Hello Friend stamp is from a $1 clear stamp set from Michaels. The pp is Recollections line Mom's Diner, the cs is Recollections. The bling is from a Recollections Halloween set that I found on clearance this last week, and the ribbon is from The Ribbon Retreat.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #65 Thank you for being you

I'm a little late to post this, so I may have already disqualified myself. I stayed up late last night to work on this and do to some medical issues that I was dealing with, didn't get a chance to post it before now.

I made this card for Pixie Dust Studio's Challenge Thank you for being you. I love the image, she's so cute and fun! I just knew she'd be perfect for this challenge! I colored her bright and vivid colors using Sharpies and Copics to make her stand out from the black and white background. My sentiment I hand wrote on the black (trying for a message written on chalkboard kind of look.) She is pop dotted to give her a extra emphasis. The sparkly paper is DCWV and the cardstock is recollections. The black and white ribbon is from The Ribbon Retreat. I love the way this card came out, it's one of my favorites, and it's going to one of my favorite people! (can't say who, it would ruin the surprise!)

Thank you all so much for being "followers" of my crafting blog! I never would have imagined coming this far with my blog when I started it a long ago.

I wanted to start this post off by sharing with you a card that I made using a digistamp I recently bought from KennyK I colored her using Sharpie and Copic markers. I cut her out and adhered her to a strip of DCVW glitter accented paper.The light pink ribbon tied onto the strip is from The Ribbon Retreat. That strip of paper is glued across a piece of Recollections Gemstone black cardstock that I added fake stitching using a white gel pen. The base card is made using a piece of dark pink Recollections cardstock.

Now onto the reason you are here! I have some fun blog candy to give away today.

Two Simply Charmed Cards

I welded these images into cards using my gypsy and Simply Charmed Criut cart. I LOVE this cart! It's one of my go to carts!

This watermelon card was made using the watermelon slice cut at 4.01 inches. The lime green background is welded into the card shape. And gives a perfect little hint of extra color at the "bite" also. I added glossy accents to the cheeks to give it a little bit of something extra special. :) I love how this turned out.

This second card is a fun card! Who couldn't use a glass of wine?! Well instead, this is a fun glass of wine shaped card!! I added glossy accents to the "wine" to make it look more like real red wine :)

Sparkly Things Distract Me Blog Hop

First of all, how perfect is this blog hop name for me?! I LOVE me some GLITTER!!

If you aren't here from the Sparkly Things Distract Me blog hop or if you didn't come here from Janice's blog, Cricut Confessions please go there and then come back here afterwards. I'm the 2nd stop on this blog hop and I'm so excited to be participating, along with my fellow Flamingo Design Team members. I happily whipped out the stickles and bling for this hop and am pretty happy with the card I came up with. The "Boo" on this card was chosen by my 3 year old from the Best of Pixar Cricut cartridge. I added Diamond stickles to her shirt and hair bow as well as on the ribbon. The ribbon was a roll I got in the Archiver's Hot Spot years ago, I don't remember the brand. The purple paper is core'dinations, it was embossed using my cuttlebug and sanded down to create the awesome background look. The bling is Recollections, and the shiny off white paper used to create the base of the card is from the Recollections Gemstone stack. I really am proud of this card.

I'd love it so much if you'd become a follower of my blog! I don't have any candy to give away today, but I will have something as soon as I hit 250 followers (just need 20 more!). 2 Dustin Pike Happy Birthday cards

This digistamp is one of the first Dustin Pike ones I ever saw. I instantly fell in love with this adorable cupcake eating monkey. Who wouldn't?! My husband says he looks like he's about to lose the cupcake, I say he looks like he loves the cupcake too much to swallow between bites.

The cs that I used for the card is Recollections new Gem tones card stock. It's got a shiny touch to it! It's really fun! The pp is one from my "scrap paper" pile and I can't remember who it's by. I randomly added Diamond stickles on some of the polka dots to give it that something special. Then I added a piece of scrap pink and a scrap of blue before added my matted image, colored with Sharpies and Copics.

This second card has the same base paper and pp, with stickles accents. I used a black ribbon I got from the Ribbon Retreat (I love to buy my basic ribbon colors in bulk, as I use them lots!), I also used a bit of black glittery fiber that came in a RAOK, I unfortunately don't know the brand. The image is also a Dustin Pike image, that reminds me of a La La Loopsy doll. I colored her to look like Bea Spells-Alot, my daughter's doll. In case you are going La La Whatsy? Here is Bea. Do you see the resemblance?!

Valentine's Day Card

I made this for Adrianna for Valentine's Day and just realized that I hadn't posted it :) The frog came from Cricut cartridge Paisley. It is popped with an Action Wobble. I believe the pp is from DCVW, but I'm not positive. The pink ribbon came from The Ribbon Retreat. The colored cardstock is all from Recollections.

Originally I had tried to just mount the frog with pop dots, but Adrianna said "it has to go wiggle, wiggle" so I had to pull it off and add an Action Wobble. :) She is so my crafting protege.

My 3 year old daughter Adrianna asked me to make her a book of Spongebob. I whipped out my Spongebob and friends cart (that I hadn't used yet!) and my bin of scraps. She picked the characters she wanted and the background paper. After we started, my Best of Pixar cart came in the mail, and we've started making those characters too. She isn 't too patient with the whole cricut cutting and gluing but loves the end result. Here is some of the pages of her book that I have completed.

Here is the Valentine's Day card that I made for my husband this year. The digistamp is from Kenny K. I think that it's a really fun and sexy image. Perfect for a card for the hubs. I colored the image with Copic and Sharpie markers. The baker's twine is some that I got from the Card Monkey, you'll find her on this hop, she's one of the stops :) I find it really hard to make a card masculine so I went simple on the embellies.

I am a Flamingo Designer!

I applied for the Design Team over at One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity on a whim, and was very surprised to get the email saying I was selected. I am in the process of adding the buttons and stuff to my blog as well as a redesign of my blog. :) Look out for all of that shortly! Karel, the owner at One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity, is having a month of February birthday bash on her blog (see link above) to celebrate her 55th birthday. Go check her out, she's got an awesome Oh My Crafts' gift certificate to give away today, as well as lots of other prizes this month!!

I wanted to share with you today, the project that got me selected. The challenge was to make something with a flamingo on it, and she also suggested to go out of the norm of just making a card with a basic pink flamingo. So here is my purple flamingo hanging out on a box I altered. This box used to be a baby wipe container. We got it when my daughter was in the NICU, it came home with us on her first trip (of many) home. It doesn't have the pop top, so essentially, it looks similar to a pencil box. The flamingo stamp came from Dustin Pike

A little late-Top 10 cards of 2010

I didn't get around to posting this at the start of the month due to everything I had going on, but I really wanted to share my favorite 10 cards I made last year! It's been really hard to decide as I have really been working on stepping my cardmaking up a notch this last year. Without further ado here they are, in no specific order

This image is from Stampendous, it's a Changito cling stamp. I just love the colors on this card.

This image was a freebie from Nutcrafters.com This card actually won me the guest designer spot I had with them in 2010.

This image came from The Greeting Farm. This card is actually one of my all time favorites. The squares are all pop dotted at different heights. This card was really experimental and I really like it.

This card just came out really fun. I love the owl paper and the colors. I can't remember who make this stamp, but I got it at Michaels.

I am in love with Changito, here is a man's birthday card I made for a swap and for a blog hop over the summer. I think the gingham paper really made the card's look. Sentiment is a Paper Trey Ink stamp

This was one of the first cards I made when I got create a critter, I think it came out pretty cute!

This card I made for a swap right after I got CAC. I love the look of the Core'dinations paper embossed and sanded here, and the way the ribbon is stapled down.

One of my first real attempts at fussy cutting an image. I think she came out pretty cute. I made this based on a sketch and I think it came out pretty well. Again the core'dinations paper embossed and sanded make a great touch to this card made using a Nutcrafters' image and a PTI sentiment

My favorite Christmas card of 2010! I should have kept this instead of sending it out. I love the little girl elf stamp set. It was a Stampendous Archiver's exclusive set. The sentiment is also Stampendous but it came with a boy elf/santa set that was also super cute.

This teenage girl birthday card was made using a Kenny K image. I love how it looks like she's sitting in the circle and coming out of the card. The colors were based on my daughter's favorite colors.

Valentine's Day Card Blog Hop

I love making Valentine's Day cards! They are just so fun. Here is my addition to this hop.

The owl came from Create a Critter. I forgot to cut out the beak, so I colored it in and added glossy acccents to make it stand out. I added a shiny heart shaped sticker to the owl to look like she has a little hair clip in (I'm not so secretly obsessed with hair clips for my little girl! :P) She is attached with an Action Wobble. They are one of my favorite products right now, I'm so addicted to the wobbles! (see side view below) I used Crystal Stickles in the corners of the pink paper. The sentiment, I typed on the computer and printed out. The papers were all in my "scrap" pile so I have NO idea where they came from, sorry.

Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge "BRRR...Baby It's Cold Outside"

I finally had a minute to make some crafty goodness this evening. This planner was made as a gift for a special friend of mine.

The Autism puzzle piece holding monkey is a digi image from Dustin Pike. It came as a part of the Thanksgiving day bundle special that he offered. I loved this digistamp but wasn't sure what to use it on. My friend Jesi has 2 autistic nephews and I just knew I had to create something for her. The planner was a cheapie one from Michael's craft store. The 2011 are Thickers alphabet stickers. The pp was something out of my stash, I'm not really sure who made it. There is 2 pieces of white ribbon stapled to the inside cover to help her keep her place.

Teenage Boy Birthday Card

This card was made for my little cousin's 13th birthday. The digistamp came from KennyK. I just love his style! This was a freebie there a few months ago, and when I saw it I thought it was perfect for a teenage boy.

I colored the image using a mix of Copics and Sharpies. The hardest part of this card was the skin color, I still didn't get it right. My cousin is mixed and has the most beautiful skin tone. I'm sure there is a Copic to match it, but I don't own that color yet. Then, I cut the boy out and mounted him to the card. The cardstock is from Archivers, the pp is from a DCWV stack, and the buttons were in my stash, not sure of the origin.

New Year's Thank You Card Hop

Here is my thank you card. From the outside you can't tell it's a thank you card, but inside it I have added the message "Thanks for making the rain days better" I didn't realize until I'd already adhered the image on the card that I forgot to put that down, so it went inside instead. :) This card is being sent as a thank you to someone very near and dear to my heart. I'm sending this card just to thank her for being so wonderful and such a great person in my life.

I have no idea why the card looks crocked in this picture, it must have been slipping when I took it. That's what I get for taking the pic at 230 am! I'll try to take a better one after I wake up

Here is a side view to show the dimension and was taken before I realized the sentiment was missing. It's been a rough week with teething, and I'm loosing it. I promise I'm not usually this spacey!

The monkey stamp is from Stampendous. Changito the monkey is so fun! I have added Glossy accents to the water to make it look more water-like. The image was colored using Sharpies and Copics. I matted it to a piece of purple cardstock and pop-dotted the image to give it a little jump. The pp is from a DCWV paper pack (Blossoms and Butterflies I think is the name) and then I tied a white ribbon around the card and added some bling for a little something extra.

I'm trying to find more time to craft, but with a teething 6 month old and a rambunctious 3 year old, it's a little hard. My goal is to have more stuff to post in the upcoming year.

The monster on this page was made using the Mini Monster Cricut Cartridge, the title was made using Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge, the bottom mat was punched with the Martha Stewart Dripping Goo border punch. The background paper is from ~~Recollections~~ October Afternoon (while cleaning up I discovered it was a different scrap company that made the paper), the base of the monster and the word June is Bazzill, and all other papers are part of a The Paper Company cardstock stack. The prebound calendar is a kit from Archivers.

Without further ado, I wanted to show you a card that I'm particularly proud of. I had alot of fun with this little monster. This shaped card from from the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge. I added a Santa hat from Paper Doll Dress Up and I think he looks pretty cute and not your traditional Christmas Colors. I added glitter glue to the hat to give it that little something extra. I'm excited to give this card to a special little boy for the holiday.

I also made a card for a special little girl using Hello Kitty Greetings and various scrap pieces I had in my scraps drawer

2 new Christmas Cards

Between a fussy, teething baby and everyday life, I've been trying to pound out my to do list. Not as easy as it sounds, but it is easier to keep up when I spend less time online. The lack of posts makes me sad, but I just can't keep up with everything so something has to give sometimes. Sorry :)

Without further ado, here is 2 new Christmas Cards that I've made

This first one is similar to the last one I posted and I actually made 9 very similar to this so I will only post the one, even though I loved them all. The penguin is from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge and the paper is from the DCWV paper pack I bought YEARS ago.

This 2nd card is made using paper from the same pack. I added the ribbon to look like a package. I got this idea from Linda at Nothin' Fancy. And added a Hero Arts stamp for the gift tag. I've been trying to find a use for this paper, it's so cute, but I hated to cover it so I've had a hard time using it. I think it worked great for this card

Create a Critter Winter Card

I created this card using a plain piece of card stock layered on the card with a piece of pp from a Christmas stack I've had for 4 years, I tore the stack apart along time ago, but I believe it was DCVW. I folded over the corner and embellished the corner with a jewel. Then added the adorable little penguin from Create a Critter. This card is simple and very cute. :)

Christmas Card Blog Hop

Hopefully this blog hop is helping you get some ideas for yourself or for Christmas gifts! :)

Here is a couple of my newest Christmas cards I've made that I wanted to share with you today. Every Christmas card I make is different and that's one of the fun things about my cards is everyone is a Jamie original! :P I have alot more fun doing each one it's own, even if it's just a subtle change it's still different.

This first card is made using a Stampendous Changito stamp. I colored the pant legs to make it look like Changito is hugging Santa's leg. This sentiment is a favorite one I've seen on shirts, stockings, etc and I couldn't find a stamp with it so I typed it up in Word and printed it out. I think it works PERFECTLY with this stamp

These next two cards are made using an Archiver's exclusive Stampendous elf stamp. She is one of my new favorite Christmas stamps! The sentiment is also Stampendous. I had a lot of fun with these two going out of the traditional Christmas color scheme.

I am making some items for some family members for Christmas. I have yet to start on those, but I will be posting another blog with those after Christmas (I have some family who reads this blog so I can't post them here yet, sorry)

I love being a member of the cricut card fairies. I have a hard time sending cards when I know they won't be appreciated, and that's one thing that makes this group special for me. I know the cards make the recipents smile when they need it the most! One of the first things I did after joining the group was to request cards for my cousin Shawn who passed away about a year and a half ago. He was battling cancer and didn't have very long to live. Those cards made things so wonder for him the last few months of his life. His aunt made them into a little book that he carried around with him and flipped through almost every day until the day he passed. After seeing how amazing those cards were, it really hit me how much this group means to their recipients.

Here is my Thanksgiving day card I made using Create a Critter and Wild Card cricut cartridges. I embossed the green circle with my Cuttle bug and the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The turkey is popped up with an Action Wobble! If you haven't heard of these, they are really fun pop dot type adhesive that makes your popped item move! I will do another post later to show case the fun they are. :)

Kenny K's Sparkle and Spots Challenge

Operation Write Home Be My Valentine Blog Hop

I'm posting this just a little bit early as I will be out of the house most of the day tomorrow for a craft show.

I have been crafting cards to send to Operation Write Home for a little while now, this is a great group that I am proud to support. You send in handmade cards to one of the shippers listed on their website and they sort the cards out and send them to Heroes overseas so they can write home to their families! They also send special Hero Mail with the packages they send, to give our deployed service members a bit of encouragement.

If you are just coming to my blog and not from the blog hop, please start at the beginning. One thing I must point out, if you make cards for OWH-do NOT use glitter. It's a safety hazard for the heroes overseas!!!

The OWH Valentines Day deadline is quickly approaching so get your cards ready and sent to them ASAP! Here is a valentines card I made that is full of love and yet generic enough that it can also be used for other purposes. I love versatile cards! (I don't remember where I got this image :( If you know, please comment here and I'll edit the post)

I forget where I got this digistamp, but I think it's super cute. I found a fish shaped brad when I was looking for matching brads for another card and knew it would be perfect with this image. This card is pretty simple, but I find that's sometimes best especially with masculine cards.

I made this card for my aunt who recently had back surgery and LOVES bears. I used the sentiment "hang in there" inside the card and used cordinations paper, embossed and sanded for the background.

Nutcrafter's Nutshells Challenge #20

I'm a little late on getting my guest designer entry in for the newest Nutcrafter's Nutshells challenge. But better late than never, right?! This challenge runs through July 27th, and the challenge was to use a sketch from Mojo Mondays blog and as always, to use an image carried on the Nutcrafter's site.

I chose to use this fairy again from their upcoming stamp line to be released soon. I think she is just too cute and really versatile! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I used core'dinations for the background and embossed it with my cuttle bug and then sanded it a little. Here is the sketch I used for the challenge.

I'm also entering this in the Mojo Monday Challenge 147.

Cricut card fairy blog hop

I was supposed to be participating in The Cricut Card Fairy bloghop today, but my little 3 week old preemie decided to be up all night and doesn't seem to be feeling so great, so I got on the computer too late to participate, but I wanted to go ahead and share my card that I made for it and to send you over there to check out what they have to offer :) There are some great blogs there, and some blog candy too! Start here at Crystal's blog, she is the commander of the fairies. :)

The Cricut Card Fairy Army is a great group that I've belonged to for a few years now. People submit card requests for people who are in need of some happy mail, well wishes, etc. and the fairies make and send beautiful homemade cards. This group really means alot to me, I signed my cousin Shawn up for the group last year as he was really sick with Ewing's Sarcoma, and he got lots of wonderful cards from all over the country. My great aunt made him a book with all the cards in it and he carried that book with him everywhere before he passed away and would look through it when he was upset. Knowing how much that meant to him is why I keep participating, I want to help others like that.

Here is a card I made for a recent mission for a young girl who needed some smiles.

This card was originally supposed to be for a challenge over at Nutshells, but since I messed it up and had a baby,I didn't get it done in time :( I'm a bad guest designer! But this new card was made for fun and I'm trying to get caught back up to where I should be.

I just LOVE this fairy. She's super cute. She's one of the newest stamps about to be released from Nutcrafters.

Somethings you have to learn the hard way

I'm still making my way through the OWH tour, I'm about a third of the way though, and am determined to finish it. :)

I just wanted to share a lesson I just learned the hard way. lol! here is a birthday card I made using a Nutcrafter's image. I decided it was a good idea to stamp the sentiment after attaching my colored and fussy cut image. Didn't realise I had ink on the stamp block and smeared it right across his face :( BOO! Lesson learned! Stamp sentiments first!!!

I LOVE to recycle cards that I receive. I cut the "Thank You" off of a thank you card I received and thought it went perfectly with the rest of this card so I added it on and VOILA! A simple yet adorable card. :)

Baby Shower Thank You Cards

My baby shower was this past weekend, here are some of the baby shower thank you cards I made. Each one is a little different as I have more fun making things in bulk when I can change it up a bit.

The bee stamps here came from CTMH, I got them from The Scrapaholic

This super cute Giraffe came from the Hot Spot at Archiver's. It is an Imagense (sp?) stamp. I thought it was so cute and perfect for baby shower cards. I've had it forever and this was my first time really using it. :)

For this card, I just replaced the giraffe with a simple flower. I'm not sure I like how it looks, but it gets the job done :)

I challenge you to use something that you wouldn't normally use as inspiration for a craft. Some Basic Cards for Operation Write Home

I made a bunch of cards for Operation Write Home. I tried to stay with simplier cards as that's usually what I do when I make cards for men or for men to send out. Alot of these are very similar, but I was trying to use up scraps as well as make them more masculine. I have a box I'm working on, and hope it have it full enough to mail to them soon. New Digistamps (including a freebie) at Nutcrafters

Check out Nutcrafters' blog for their 3 new male images, including a freebie for this week only! Here is a card I made using one of their new images called On The Road. This is a father's day card I made, I thought the image was super cute and so I made him driving. The "stop sign" style sentiment is not the best cause I free handed the shape, but I thought it was the perfect finishing touch :) I ran the card through the cuttlebug backwards using the swiss dots. I like the way the backward embossing looks.

I'm also entering this card in the Cards for Men challenge

I love this first stamp, I got it from Sassy Cheryl. It was a freebie she gave out on Papercraft planet a while back. I think it's a really fun digistamp.

My first sewing projects!

My new Brother sewing machine arrived this last week. I've been practicing since then trying to get better. This was my first two projects I made. Two HUGE receiving blankets I made. I hate how tiny the store bought ones are, so I made these a yard and a half, and they can work as thinner, lighter blankets since little man is due August 7th.

This first one goes with the room colors. His walls are turquoise, so I made the room colors black and white with a lime accent. :)

This blanket is my absolute favorite and will probably be come the blanket that travels EVERYWHERE with us :)

Super Dad!

Disclaimer-my dad doesn't know about these, Adrianna has just told him that she has a surprise for him! Please don't tell him till I can give them to him if you know him. :)

Those of you who know my dad, know his complete obsession with all things super heros and comic books. He has a whole "dungeon" in my parent's house dedicated to his comics. I wish I had a picture to show you. It's hard to imagine the extent in which his obsession has taken over their basement!

anyways. I got the Superman and Batman cricut carts not too long ago. My dad's obsession made them total "must haves". Here are 2 figures I made for his room. The background paper is just to show them off. I didn't put them on paper or anything yet cause I don't know how he wants to showcase them :)

Here is Batman and Superman! They are both 9 1/2" tall so they'd be the perfect size to frame if he chooses to. My 3 year old helped me glue these down, she's quickly becoming obsessed with the cricut and xyron!

I almost forgot! The card I made to give to him with the characters.

I'm a few days late posting this as I'm getting to the point of exhaustion from too much nesting. LOL! :P

This card was made for Challenge #17 our Almost Free Choice Challenge! There is no theme or sketch to use, that's your free choice, the only condition is that you use a stamp or a digistamp that is sold over at Nutcrafters.com. I, of course, used the new Pink Frosting set for this card. I used the cricut for the cupcake instead of the one that came in the set cause the Doodlecharms cupcake was BEGGING to be used.

I am very happy to announce that I am offically a Guest Designer for Nutcrafters for June and July. The other guest designers coming on for those 2 months, check out Jessica and Mandy. Check them out and say hi, they have some beautiful cards on their sites.

Here is a card I made using this set. I am really happy with how this card came out. I accidentally cut off a bit of her feet, the image apparently wasn't aligned as well as I thought it was with my Nestabilites. I think it still looks good though :)

I didn't realise I hadn't posted these cards yet, most of them are from the crop I participated in last weekend. Sadly, I didn't win any of the challenges, but I was blown away by the people who did win. :)

Here is a father's day card that I made. The inside says "Fishing you a happy father's day" :) The image is a "free coloring book page" that I found on google image and I just resized it and colored it.

Here is a Christmas card that I made using one of my favorite digistamps from Pixie Dust Studio. I love how this card came out, and how it looks like she just finished writing "Happy Holidays"

The Cuttlebug is not just for crafting anymore!

My darling husband is a bit of a nerd. He plays WarHammer and the other day he had a friend come over to play with him and so they randomly grabbed stuff from our basement/my craft area/husband's office to set up their table. I came down stairs to find my Cuttlebug taking part in their game. I had to get a quick picture, because I don't think I'll ever see him using it again :P

Lots of Operation Write Home cards for Father's Day

recently discovered a really awesome group called Operation Write Home. It's a non-profit group that collects and mails out cards for deployed military members to be able to send handmade greetings to their families back home. This was my first time making cards for them, and I saw that the shipper that was closest to me needed some Father's Day cards to send out and the deadline was just days away.

I pulled out my Changito Monkey hug stamp and stamped a bunch of images to color and make into cards. Here are some of them. I was determined to use up scrap paper in the process if you can't tell.

(I ended up not being able to use this one cause the paper was glittery and there is a big NO GLITTER rule when sending to deployed soliders)

Here are some new cards that I've made. I tried to do this post a few days ago and blogspot crashed on me right as I finished before I could post it, I got frustrated and waited to come back and post.

Here are A few girlie cards

This little froggie came from the Paisley cart. I wasn't so sure about this cart when I first started playing with it, but I've had a lot of fun with it.

This monster stamp is from Hero Arts. I love this stamps but wanted to try a girlie card using it. I fussy cut it out after coloring it. The layered flower is from the Paisley cart.

I love this super cute digistamp came from Pixie Dust Studios. The card is pretty simple but sometimes I think simple is better. I made the card to use up some scraps. I think it came out pretty cute.

Thinking outside of my box

I've been a busy bee lately. Here are a few cards I've recently made. As you can probably tell, I most do the single fold 4 1/4 by 5/12 cards. In using up scraps, I've also been on a mission to go outside of my box with the shape, size, etc of cards.

This card is using a stamp from The Greeting Farm. I absolutely love this little merman. This is also my first attempt at fussy cutting an image. I am pretty proud of it.

This card is using a super cute Changito Monkey stamp. I like the look of the patterned paper showing under the card flap

This mother's day card that I made, I'm not so sure about. I like the colors and the fold, but it's definately missing something. I wrote Happy Mother's day on the open red section after taking the pic.

I REALLY need to get creative with the titles-but that's not happening. My mind goes blank when I go to type here.

I have quite a few colored images holstered, I just need to find some time to finish all these cards. I printed a ton of digistamps and I take them to work and color them on my lunch break and then just work on the cards when I get a chance in the evenings and weekends.

Here is a few recent cards that I made.

I <3 this Dustin Pike stamp. I've used it before on boy birthday cards, but challenged myself to make it inot a girlie card. Mission accomplished I think :)

3 new Paisley Cards

My goal has been to work through scraps recently. I'm doing a decent job, but still have a HUGE stack to go!

I can't get enough of these little nesting dolls off the paisley cart. I did an auto fill when I made them, which is why I have had so many identical ones on cards lately. She's just too adorable. My daughter stole a few of them to play with too.

This frog is super cute too! I really couldn't get into this cart at first, but the more I use it, the more I like it.

Adrianna's Birthday Invitations and Bouquet

Yesterday was my daughter's third birthday :) I can't believe how quickly they grow up. She wanted a Hello Kitty party, and so I busted out the cricut and was happy to create :)
Here is the birthday girl! <3

Here are the invitations. I used alot of scraps for this project so each one had a different bow color.

Here is her birthday bouquet I made using a bucket I found in Target's dollar section. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The bucket is filled with tulle and the figures are hot glued to dowels and just stuck into place amidst the tulle. Adrianna LOVED it, and immediately tore it apart. lol! Gotta love 3 year olds!

These monster stamps are just too fun! I colored and pop dotted this image after cutting it with a nestibles and mounting it a couple of times. I also embossed the card base and the middle nestibles image with the reptile skin embossing mat and then ink them to bring out the texture. The phrase was also part of the monster stamp set. I am REALLY proud of how this card came out. It's my favorite so far I think! Lots of texture and dimension involved as well as colorful and perfect for a little boy.

I struggle with cards for boys and men. I have been trying to pound some out to work on getting better at them.

Here is my card that I made for solider who was injured and needed a pick me up. This was a cricut card fairy mission.

The red mat is embossed with my cuttlebug and then inked, and then the image is pop dotted to add dimension. I just love these monkey stamps

new cards using Paisley Cricut Cartridge

I got the Paisley Cricut cart a few weeks ago and just finally got a chance to play with it this week. Here are some cards that I made

These first 2 cards are a new card style that I hadn't tried before. I like the way they came out for my first couple tries.

I also got the Label#3 Spellbinder's Nestables so you will be seeing that alot in these cards. I still need to get the embossing mat for it, but I've had a fun time just diecutting with it for now.

These cards have alot of dimension to them. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way a card looks when it's got dimension and texture to it.
